Former Chief Executive Officer of Twitter, now known as X, Parag Agrawal has announced the launch of a new artificial intelligence venture named Deep Research API. In a social media post, he revealed that the project aims to challenge top AI models and push the boundaries of research technology.
Agrawal said that the first goal of Deep Research API is to outperform both humans and leading AI models, including GPT 5 from OpenAI, on some of the toughest benchmarks in the industry. He described these benchmarks as among the hardest to achieve, making the target a significant challenge.
“We launched our Deep Research API it is the first to outperform both humans and all leading models including GPT 5 on two of the hardest benchmarks,” Agrawal wrote in his LinkedIn post.
The former Twitter chief also shared that the company’s technology is already being used for millions of research tasks every day by ambitious startups and large enterprises. According to him, Deep Research API provides advanced automation tools that help businesses carry out workflows which were traditionally handled by humans, with what he described as “exceeding human level accuracy.”
Parag Agrawal is the founder of Parallel Web Systems Inc., an AI startup headquartered in Palo Alto, California, United States. He explained that his company is focused on building solutions that enable research and automation at scale, aiming to support innovation across both small and large organisations.
“We already power millions of research tasks every day, across ambitious startups and public enterprises,” he said, emphasising the growing impact of the venture.
Through Deep Research API, Agrawal is positioning his startup as a competitor to major AI players while aiming to redefine the role of artificial intelligence in research and automation.
