Swappnna Varun Appointed as Director of Human Resources at Waterfield Advisors

Waterfield Advisors, one of India’s leading independent wealth advisory firms, has announced the appointment of Swappnna Varun as its new Director of Human Resources, effective August.

Sharing the news on a professional networking platform, Swappnna wrote, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Director of Human Resources at Waterfield Advisors!” She brings close to two decades of experience in human resources and talent acquisition, with a proven track record in building strategic people capabilities and leading impactful HR initiatives.

Swappnna joins Waterfield from Jio Financial Services, where she served as TA Head for Special Projects at Jio BlackRock, managing critical recruitment strategies and leadership hiring mandates. Her career also includes leadership positions in several global and Indian financial institutions. At Barclays, she was Vice President and Head of Programmatic Recruitment for APAC, implementing technology-driven talent acquisition strategies across the region. She has also worked with Deutsche Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, TechnoServe, Edelweiss, AMSEC, HDFC Securities, and Lehman Brothers, giving her a comprehensive understanding of the evolving talent landscape in banking, financial services, and advisory.

Recognised for her ability to design and implement HR programmes that align with organisational goals, Swappnna has successfully led special projects aimed at improving recruitment efficiency, strengthening employer branding, and building strong leadership pipelines.

Waterfield Advisors manages over USD 5 billion in assets and offers fee-based wealth and investment advisory services through seven strategic offices across India. The firm is known for its client-focused approach that combines global expertise with deep local market insights.
