The Gujarat government has appointed Sanjay Kaul as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of GIFT City Company Ltd in Gandhinagar. A 2001-batch Indian Administrative Service officer from Kerala cadre, Kaul will serve in this role on deputation for three years or until further notice. He will be taking over the position from Tapan Ray.
Sanjay Kaul is currently working as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Culture. Originally hailing from Gujarat, he has earlier held key leadership roles including serving as Managing Director of the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd as well as Kerala Tourism Corporation.
Sanjay’s appointment marks a significant leadership shift for GIFT City as it continues to position itself as a global financial and tech hub.
