Google Cloud has appointed Sashikumar Sreedharan as the new Managing Director for India

Google Cloud has appointed Sashikumar Sreedharan as its new Managing Director for India. He takes over the role after spending nearly two years with the company’s Asia Pacific (APAC) team.

Sreedharan replaces Bikram Singh Bedi, who led Google Cloud’s operations in India for over four years. Bedi will now focus on driving strategic initiatives within Google Cloud’s APAC business.

“I want to thank Bikram who has been instrumental in driving Google Cloud’s success in India till date…As Sashi takes on the leadership of our team in India, I’m confident he will further propel our organisation and our customers to their next phase of growth in this crucial market,” said Karan Bajwa, President, Google Cloud, Asia Pacific.

Before stepping into his new role, Sreedharan served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Google Cloud APAC from September 2023. Prior to joining Google Cloud, he worked at Microsoft India as Managing Director for over five years, where he led the company’s enterprise business. His professional experience also includes leadership roles at global tech giants such as SAP and IBM.

“My time as COO for APAC has deeply affirmed my belief in Google Cloud’s winning strategy and powerful AI-first platform,” Sreedharan said.

With this appointment, Google Cloud aims to further strengthen its presence in India, which is considered a key market for the company’s growth.
