Digital Realty, a leading global provider of cloud- and carrier-neutral data center, colocation, and interconnection solutions, has announced its decision to standardize its worldwide data center operations infrastructure on Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Private Cloud Business Edition.
This strategic move aims to address the rapidly escalating demand for Digital Realty’s services and enhance its capability to manage massive data volumes across its expansive network of over 300 data centers in more than 25 countries.
The adoption of HPE Private Cloud Business Edition is set to deliver simplified management, bolstered security, and increased resilience across Digital Realty’s global operations. Faramarz Mahdavi, VP of IT Infrastructure and Operations at Digital Realty, emphasized that the HPE solution will enable efficient scaling and streamlined infrastructure management while providing a predictable total cost of ownership (TCO).
This modernization effort is also expected to significantly improve operational efficiencies and workload management for mission-critical operations software, all while minimizing associated costs.
HPE’s Private Cloud Business Edition offers fully automated infrastructure setup and lifecycle management, which will allow Digital Realty to redirect its focus towards achieving optimal business outcomes for its diverse clientele. HPE asserts that its Private Cloud Business Edition can lower TCO by up to 2.5 times compared to competing solutions in the market.
In collaboration with HPE solution provider partner Infradax, Digital Realty opted for HPE’s fully integrated, SaaS-delivered private cloud solution due to its proven efficiency in managing critical data center operations software.
Additionally, Digital Realty selected the new HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000 for its user-friendliness and TCO advantages, providing a robust data storage foundation enhanced with predictive analytics and insightful data capabilities.
