Noida Hospital Staff Booked for ₹75 Lakh Fraud

A private hospital in Noida is under scrutiny after an employee allegedly diverted ₹75 lakh through unauthorized online transfers. The case has been handed over to the Cyber Crime Cell, raising concerns over internal financial controls within private healthcare institutions.

The incident came to light after a routine audit at the Sector 110-based hospital flagged unusual financial activity. Management launched a detailed investigation which revealed repeated suspicious transfers. The employee, responsible for managing financial operations, is now accused of breaching trust and transferring large sums to unidentified accounts.

Hospital sources stated that the funds were siphoned off in multiple transactions over a period of time, suggesting a planned effort rather than an error. Once the anomalies were confirmed, the hospital promptly reported the matter to the Noida Police Cyber Cell. A formal complaint has been registered, and a case has been initiated.

Cyber Crime Cell officials confirmed that a forensic investigation is underway. “We have begun collecting relevant digital evidence. Our team is tracing IP addresses, financial trail, and mobile device access patterns used to carry out the fraud,” said an officer involved in the probe.

Initial findings indicate that the employee may have accessed internal payment systems or misused digital banking credentials. The possibility of external involvement is also being considered as the investigation continues.

The hospital management said the accused had been with the organization for a long time and held a trusted position within the finance team. The total duration over which the money was transferred is still being verified.

Authorities have not yet disclosed the suspect’s identity as investigations are in the early stages. Meanwhile, the hospital has initiated an internal review to identify system vulnerabilities and prevent future incidents of financial misconduct.
