Narayana Murthy, the esteemed founder of Infosys, recently visited the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) and expressed profound admiration for its accelerated progress and ambitious global vision. His visit underscores the growing recognition of GIFT City as a premier hub for financial and technological innovation.
During his tour, Murthy met with key officials, including GIFT City Chairman Hasmukh Adhia, Managing Director and Group CEO Tapan Ray, and IFSCA Chairman K Rajaraman. He specifically commended the world-class infrastructure being developed within GIFT City and lauded the increasing influx of international companies establishing their operations there. Murthy emphasized that these developments are crucial for solidifying GIFT City’s position as a global center for financial and technology services, as well as a hotbed for fintech innovation.
Beyond official engagements, Murthy also took the opportunity to interact with students, encouraging them to cultivate high aspirations and pursue excellence in their endeavors.
Murthy’s visit follows closely on the heels of Infosys’s own expansion within GIFT City. The IT giant recently inaugurated a new development center designed to accommodate over 1,000 employees. This center is dedicated to providing cutting-edge digital solutions to global clients in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sectors, further cementing GIFT City’s role in the global financial ecosystem.
