Users of all messaging apps, including WhatsApp and others, were urged by the Public Security Directorate’s Cybercrime Unit on Wednesday to update their programs often in order to prevent security flaws.
The organization stressed that regular upgrades are necessary for digital safety because app developers fix these problems with every release.
For improved account security, it also suggested setting two-factor authentication and connecting accounts to a working email address.
