Ray Kazan Steps Into Global Leadership Role as Vice President of Talent at CAE

Montréal welcomes a powerful new chapter in the journey of Ray Kazan, who has now been appointed as Vice President, Human Resources for Talent Management at CAE. This promotion reflects his unwavering commitment and nearly a decade of impactful contributions to the global simulation and aviation training powerhouse.

In his elevated role, Ray will champion CAE’s global talent vision, leading transformative initiatives in hiring, leadership development, employee engagement, and succession planning. His mission is to foster an empowered, inclusive, and future-ready workforce across all continents where CAE operates.

Over the past nine years, Ray has carved a remarkable path at CAE. In his most recent position as Senior Director, Talent Management, he designed and drove an integrated strategy covering everything from talent acquisition to change management. He played a vital role in enhancing the company’s leadership capability, building a leadership curriculum that nurtures talent from emerging professionals to executive leaders. His influence has also extended to boosting gender representation in pivotal positions, advancing employer branding, and infusing onboarding with artificial intelligence.

Before this, Ray served as Global Senior Human Resources Director for Flight Services. In this capacity, he worked closely with the executive team during CAE’s largest acquisition, harmonizing operations across three global tech firms. His strategic oversight of workforce planning, organization design, and HR team development helped shape a culture of inclusivity and transformation across diverse markets.

Ray’s journey also included leading HR for Business Aviation and Helicopter Training worldwide, where he handled pandemic response strategies, reinvented performance management, and co-led impactful initiatives like the Women Leadership Program. A vocal advocate for belonging, he proudly served as Vice President of CAE’s LGBTQ2+ Employee Resource Group.

His roots at CAE trace back to Emirates CAE, where he managed HR in the Middle East and India. There, he championed programs like OfficeVibe and introduced equity-driven performance systems. Ray also brought rich experience from earlier roles at Diageo, where he led Workday implementation and HR projects across the MENA region.

With a career built on passion, precision, and people-first leadership, Ray Kazan continues to inspire transformation at a global level.
