With close to thirty years of experience in the corporate and academic spheres, Dr. Murthy brings a profound understanding of people, process and purpose. Until recently, she served as Chief People Officer at the ITM Group of Institutions, where she played a key role in driving strategic HR transformations, strengthening workplace culture and leading organizational development across various academic entities.
In her new role, Dr. Murthy will guide the convergence of academic objectives and business strategy, expand collaborative partnerships, and champion innovation-led institutional progress. Her journey from an HR stalwart to an academic leader was nurtured under the mentorship of Ramana Putcha and Nitin Putcha, reflecting ITM’s commitment to homegrown leadership and long-term vision.
Prior to joining ITM Group, Dr. Murthy held senior positions at leading firms such as Patni, Zycus, SYSTIME (now KPIT) and V2 Solutions. Throughout her career, she has led initiatives in talent strategy, learning design, change enablement and enterprise-scale transformation. She is also known for crafting impactful learning ecosystems and embedding a culture of growth and purpose.
Her influence extends beyond HR, with a legacy of earning her institutions accolades including the prestigious Great Place to Work recognition. A true advocate of people-powered growth, Dr. Murthy brings this holistic leadership style to her new chapter at ITM University, ready to shape the future of education with grace, strategy and strength.
