Samsung Unveils the World’s First 500Hz OLED Monitor to Transform Gaming Forever

In a bold step towards redefining high-performance gaming, Samsung has officially introduced the first ever 500Hz OLED gaming monitor, the Odyssey OLED G6, offering a silky-smooth and visually rich experience that’s set to captivate competitive gamers and tech enthusiasts alike.

Crafted for precision and speed, the Odyssey OLED G6 features an ultra-fast 500Hz refresh rate and a lightning-quick 0.03ms response time, ensuring that every frame counts and every movement is captured in crystal clarity. Designed with a 27-inch QD-OLED panel, it boasts Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, HDR10+ Gaming support and peak brightness of 1,000 nits. The 16:9 aspect ratio and rich color spectrum deliver images that are both sharp and deeply immersive.

To support extended gameplay, the monitor comes equipped with an anti-glare coating that reduces reflections, keeping your eyes at ease during long sessions. Samsung’s OLED Safeguard+ adds an advanced cooling mechanism using a dynamic liquid evaporation system that disperses heat five times more effectively than traditional graphite sheets. Its intelligent brightness control further protects the display from burn-ins by auto-dimming static images like icons and taskbars.

Gamers will appreciate seamless visuals with support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC, which eliminate screen tearing and ensure smooth rendering even in the most demanding titles.

True to Samsung’s commitment to color fidelity, the Odyssey OLED G6 is PANTONE and PANTONE SkinTone certified, accurately reproducing over 2100 colors and more than 110 skin tone shades. Its ergonomic design supports height adjustments, tilts, rotations, and VESA mounting, allowing users to customise their setup.

Connectivity options are abundant, including DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, USB-B upstream, USB Type-A downstream, and a headphone jack. Power is supplied through an external adapter with a maximum consumption of 140W.

This groundbreaking monitor is now available in the Singapore store at $1,488 SGD, approximately 1,140 USD. Official rollout begins on May 12 across Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand, with global release details to follow.
