AI-powered monitoring system is being developed to verify rumors and false information on social media

People who spread rumors on social networking sites like Facebook, Instagram, and X are now subject to repercussions. To stop the spread of misleading material on these sites, an AI-powered monitoring system is being implemented. The goal of this system is to monitor and detect fraudulent information that is spreading across digital and social media platforms. Bangalore Police are preparing to deploy an artificial intelligence (AI) system to keep an eye on internet platforms and social media. With only one phrase needed to start the search, this cutting-edge software will concentrate on identifying any false or misleading material found online, according to a Media study. AI will make it simpler to assess the reliability of material posted on social media.

The release of the tender for this AI system has been confirmed by a top Bangalore Police officer. Based on people, entities, brands, organizations, or subjects of interest, the system will target false information precisely. Because it is an AI-powered solution, it will also be able to filter out inaccurate material by identifying any offensive language or words used in social media discussions.

By utilizing digital sources in India and throughout the world, this AI technology will enable automatic data collecting. It will examine content from video-sharing websites like TikTok, YouTube, and Vimeo as well as well-known Indian platforms like X, Facebook, and Instagram.

The technology will also look at publicly accessible information from public community forums and news sources. According to reports, this cutting-edge AI program will be able to identify topics and profile content producers, which will increase its surveillance capability even further.

On Friday, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) released its recommendations about the cost of spectrum, or radio waves, to satellite internet service providers. They suggested that businesses, like Elon Musk’s Starlink, contribute 4% of their annual profits. Additionally, there will be an additional annual fee of Rs 500 per client for services provided in urban areas. However, services rendered in rural regions will not incur additional expenses.
