In a major breakthrough, Cyber Crime Police have successfully apprehended Ramesh Kumar Yadav, a 39-year-old resident of Amraiwadi, Ahmedabad, in connection with a cryptocurrency fraud worth Rs 2.63 crore. The arrest follows a meticulous investigation into a fraudulent crypto investment scheme that deceived a Tivim resident between February 13 and March 19, 2025.
The victim was targeted by a scammer who promised high returns from cryptocurrency trading, luring them with training programs and investment advice. Yadav, allegedly involved in managing mule bank accounts, is accused of siphoning off Rs 10 lakh from the defrauded funds. Authorities believe this arrest is a part of a much larger cybercrime syndicate operating in the shadows.
The investigation unfolded through detailed financial tracking and analysis, which led the Cyber Crime Police directly to Yadav. It is suspected that he played a pivotal role in facilitating the illegal transaction flow, linking him to a broader network of online fraudsters.
