Wishing Mr. Michael Adams greater responsibilities and exciting challenges in this impressive new chapter!
In a major leadership move, Docusign has named Michael Adams as its new Group Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). With a career spanning close to three decades, Adams is set to shape the company’s global security strategy as it continues to scale its intelligent agreement management solutions.
Adams, who most recently held the role of CISO at Zoom, brings with him a wealth of knowledge in cybersecurity, product security, and risk management. He will now oversee Docusign’s security operations, ranging from data privacy and compliance to digital trust—an essential mission with a global customer base of nearly 1.7 million.
Welcoming the new leader, Allan Thygesen, CEO of Docusign, shared, “We’re thrilled to welcome Michael to the Docusign team. As we continue to grow and innovate, Michael’s deep expertise will be critical in strengthening our trust and security posture. His proven ability to manage complex security operations, build high-performing teams, and safeguard customer trust aligns perfectly with our vision for the future of agreements.”
Michael Adams has built a remarkable career, having held executive positions at Palantir, served as a partner in a top global law firm, and acted as an advisor to two Chairmen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. His holistic experience across the tech, legal, and defense sectors uniquely equips him to guide Docusign’s next chapter of secure global expansion.
This appointment follows the departure of Kurt Sauer, the outgoing CISO, who has stepped down to pursue new professional opportunities. Thygesen acknowledged his contributions, stating, “Kurt has been instrumental in building the strong security foundation that our customers rely on every day, and we thank him for his leadership.”
With Adams at the helm of security, Docusign stands poised to redefine digital trust while safeguarding millions of agreements worldwide.
