Baltimore Orioles have named Darline Llamas Llopis as their new Chief Financial Officer.

In a move that marks a new chapter in their leadership playbook, the Baltimore Orioles have named Darline Llamas Llopis as their new Chief Financial Officer. Her appointment comes at a pivotal moment for the club, as it continues its journey of transformation both on and off the field.

Llamas Llopis will take the helm of all fiscal responsibilities for the Orioles—overseeing budgeting, payroll, and financial planning operations with a steady hand and seasoned expertise.

Speaking on her arrival, Orioles’ President of Business Operations, Catie Griggs, shared her optimism: “Darline’s experience spans a wide range of industries and sports, arming her with the knowledge and skill that’ll support our growing business operation.” She further added that she looks forward to working closely with Llamas Llopis and the leadership team to refine the club’s financial roadmap and support its broader goals.

Radiating excitement about her new role, Llamas Llopis remarked: “Joining the storied Orioles organization during such a transformative time is a dream come true.”

Her career in sports finance is both rich and impressive. Prior to stepping into her new position, she spent four impactful seasons with the Miami Dolphins, Hard Rock Stadium, and the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, where she served as VP of Finance and Retail. There, she managed everything from finance and procurement to payroll and merchandise operations.

Her earlier tenure with the Los Angeles Rams as Director of Finance and Controller added further weight to her portfolio, where she was entrusted with steering financial strategy for the NFL franchise. She began her professional journey in public accounting, lending her talents to global firms such as Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers, particularly within their Commercial Real Estate divisions.

Llamas Llopis is an alumna of the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where she earned her MBA, and holds a Master of Accountancy from the University of Southern California (USC). She also graduated cum laude with a business degree and continues to be an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

The Orioles’ choice signals a deepened commitment to financial excellence and long-term growth in a highly competitive sports industry.
