Raghu Krishnananda Steps Down from Myntra’s CPTO Role Amid Broader Restructuring

In a significant development at Myntra, Raghu Krishnananda, the fashion platform’s Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO), has announced his decision to step down after over five years of leadership. His departure marks yet another notable leadership exit from the Flipkart Group, which has recently seen several senior-level changes.

According to an internal message circulated within the company and reviewed by a reliable source, Krishnananda will be transitioning out over the coming weeks. Reflecting on his journey, Myntra CEO Nandita Sinha shared in the communication, “After a stint of over five years, Raghu has decided to explore the next chapter of life outside of Myntra.” She also added, “I thank him for his contributions and wish him success in the journey ahead.”

Until a replacement is finalized, Sinha will directly oversee Krishnananda’s team, continuing to guide the product and technology functions during this interim phase.

This exit follows closely on the heels of Jeyandran Venugopal’s resignation as Flipkart’s CPTO earlier this year, marking the second prominent exit within a short span. These shifts come amid ongoing organizational realignments within both Myntra and its parent company, Flipkart, which are owned by US retail conglomerate Walmart.

Industry experts note that the fashion e-commerce space in India is in flux, driven by leadership changes and evolving consumer preferences. Combined, Myntra and Flipkart hold a commanding 57% share of India’s online fashion market, a segment valued at $16–17 billion today and projected to swell to $40–45 billion by 2028, as highlighted in a joint study by a consulting firm and Myntra.

The company also recently underwent a structural reorganisation, during which Nandita Sinha was entrusted with additional duties to head Flipkart’s fashion vertical, underscoring her pivotal role in shaping the future of the platform.

In a market also dominated by players like Ajio and Nykaa Fashion, this change in leadership at Myntra signals a new era of recalibration and potential reinvention for one of India’s most beloved fashion destinations.
