Avanos Medical, Inc. (NYSE: AVNS), a prominent player in the medical technology field, has announced the appointment of David Pacitti as its new CEO, effective April 14, 2025.
Pacitti brings a wealth of experience in the healthcare industry, having most recently served as president of Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. and Head of the Americas for Siemens Healthineers. In this role, he was instrumental in fostering strategic growth and enhancing operational efficiency, overseeing marketing, sales, service, and support across North and Latin America for the entire Siemens Healthineers product range, which includes medical imaging, laboratory diagnostics, therapy solutions, and services.

Before his tenure at Siemens Healthineers, which began in 2015, Pacitti held various leadership positions at Abbott Vascular. He was the division vice president of U.S. commercial operations, where he managed the North American business and was key in launching significant products, including Abbott Vascular’s first drug-eluting stent and structural heart franchises. From 2009 to 2013, he served as vice president of commercial operations, and from 2006 to 2009, he was vice president of global marketing. Pacitti’s career at Abbott Vascular began with the company’s acquisition of Guidant Corp, where he progressed through various roles from 1995 to 2006.
