BRAC Bank appoints Md Mokerrobin Mannan as its Chief Digital Officer

Chief Digital Officer (CDO) has been appointed by BRAC Bank to spearhead its digital transformation initiative.

According to a news release, Md. Mokerrobin Mannan became the bank’s first Chief Digital Officer on April 1.

Mokerrobin contributes a wealth of experience from his time working for top global corporations, together with his in-depth understanding of the newest technological advancements.

Mokerrobin was the Chief Technology Officer and Digital Transformation Advisor to the Managing Director of Nagad Ltd. before to joining BRAC Bank. He had a number of positions at Ericsson-Kenya, Grameenphone Ltd., Robi Axiata, bKash, and UPAY, including CDO, CTO, and other technical responsibilities.

Selim R. F. Hussain, Managing Director & CEO, BRAC Bank, commented: “Mokerrobin’s strategic role as a key member of our Management Committee will be instrumental in spearheading the bank’s digital transformation journey. BRAC Bank is poised to leverage its hands-on experience with leading technology companies locally and globally to implement its digital roadmap. The creation of this new role underscores BRAC Bank’s digital ambition.”

He has an MBA in Executive from IBA, Dhaka University; an MSc in Telecommunications from École Normale Supérieure de Cachan, Paris, France; and an EEE degree from the Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET). In addition, he holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
