Version 1 has appointed Roop Singh as its new Chief Commercial Officer

Roop Singh, who has over 25 years of commercial expertise, has been named Version 1’s new Chief Commercial Officer.

Singh was Chief Business Officer and CEO Americas at Birlasoft, an Indian multinational IT services firm, before joining Version 1. He was instrumental in fostering the company’s remarkable development trajectory. Singh had a number of high managerial roles before to joining Birlasoft in 2019, including high Vice President and Global Head of the Securities and Capital Markets at Wipro and Vice President and Business Head of IBM’s Banking and Financial Services group in the USA.

Brian Humphries, Executive Chairman at Version 1, said “Roop brings extensive commercial expertise, a strong network and rich experience in our space. His track record of successful growth and inspirational leadership across cultures and geographies is invaluable and I know he will play a key role in taking Version 1 to the next level.”

Singh’s experience in data and analytics, digital and cloud, and ERP, as well as in important industry verticals, especially financial services, makes him a good fit for Version 1’s operations. As the Partners Group-backed company looks to grow globally, his understanding of North American market potential will also be a great asset.

Humphries will take over as CEO of Version 1 until a replacement is chosen, after Tom O’Connor’s resignation at the end of 2024. The appointment comes at a crucial time for the organization. Additionally, it comes after Louise Lahiff was appointed Chief Operating Officer and Patrick Cooney was appointed Chief Financial Officer.
