A new India-Germany business collaboration aims to support the production and commercialisation of specialised biological medicines in India, including a drug used in organ transplantation.
The Embassy of India in Berlin said it facilitated the exchange of a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) between Germany’s Neovii Biotech GmbH and it’s VINS Bioproducts Ltd. The agreement was exchanged on the sidelines of the Indo-German Health Leadership Dialogue held on October 13, 2026.
The proposed collaboration will focus on immunoglobulin products, including anti-thymocyte globulin. This medicine is used in human organ transplantation and to treat certain blood disorders.
In a post on X on October 16, the embassy said: “@eoiberlin facilitated the exchange of a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) between Neovii Biotech GmbH, Germany and VINS Bioproducts Ltd, India, on the sidelines of the Indo-German Health Leadership Dialogue organised by the Embassy of India, Berlin, on 13 Oct 2026,”
It further stated: “The NDA will facilitate collaboration in manufacturing, technology transfer to India and commercialisation of immunoglobulin products, including anti-thymocyte globulin necessary for human organ transplantation and other blood disorders.”
The agreement is expected to create a framework for cooperation in manufacturing, technology transfer and commercialisation. If implemented, the partnership could strengthen it’s domestic production capabilities for specialised biological products used in transplantation and the treatment of certain blood disorders.
Local manufacturing and technology transfer could also help improve access to these medicines and reduce dependence on imports.
