Intas Pharmaceuticals has appointed Abhinav Vikash as Vice President – Projects, bringing extensive experience in pharmaceutical engineering, project execution, plant operations and manufacturing infrastructure development.
Vikash joins Intas after spending more than 19 years at Sun Pharma, where he most recently served as Head of Engineering, Sustainability and Projects. In this role, he managed initiatives involving engineering, capacity expansion, automation, sustainability, maintenance and operational excellence. He also supported plant operations and regulatory preparedness.
During his tenure at Sun Pharma, Vikash previously held the position of Head – Engineering and Projects. He also spent more than a decade in senior project management roles, overseeing the planning, design, estimation, execution and commissioning of pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
His experience covers oral solid dosage (OSD), sterile and active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) facilities. He has also worked closely with research and development, production, quality, engineering and global supply chain teams to support manufacturing and project requirements.
Earlier in his career, Vikash worked at Jubilant Organosys Limited as Assistant Manager – Maintenance and Projects. His responsibilities included supporting API operations, managing engineering projects, overseeing maintenance activities, commissioning projects and ensuring compliance with safety systems, regulatory standards and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
In his new role at Intas Pharmaceuticals, Vikash will bring expertise in large-scale project execution, global capacity expansion, facility infrastructure, process optimisation, sustainability and regulatory compliance. His experience across projects in India and international markets adds to his background in pharmaceutical manufacturing and engineering leadership.
