Asahi India Glass Limited (AIS) has appointed Dr. Chander Shekhar Devra as its Chief Information Officer (CIO), effective September 2026. He will lead artificial intelligence adoption and digital transformation across AIS, AIS Consumer Glass Solutions and all its strategic business units.
Dr. Devra brings more than 23 years of experience in IT leadership and enterprise technology. His appointment will draw on his background in technology management and digital transformation to support the organisation’s technology initiatives.
Before joining AIS, Dr. Devra served as CIO and Vice President at SRF Limited, where he led technology initiatives for the Specialty Chemicals Business and Chemicals Technology Group.
Earlier in his career, he held IT leadership positions at Rajasthan Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Limited, Allahabad Bank and National Insurance Company Limited. These roles helped him build expertise in enterprise systems, IT infrastructure and digital transformation.
In his new role, Dr. Devra will oversee AI adoption and digital transformation initiatives across AIS’s business operations.
