India’s gaming smartphone market is set to see a new addition as Infinix prepares to introduce the GT 50 Pro in October. The company has confirmed the launch month but has not announced the exact date. It has also teased a gaming-focused ecosystem that could include accessories designed to complement the handset.

Infinix GT 50 Pro India launch timeline

Infinix is using a community-driven campaign to reveal the launch date. Users can visit the GT 50 Pro launch page on the company’s website and click to increase a shared reveal meter. Once the required target is reached, Infinix will announce the official launch date.

The smartphone has already debuted in select global markets, with its first launch taking place in April this year.

Infinix GT 50 Pro: Features and specifications

The global dual-SIM model runs Android 16-based XOS 16. It features a 6.78-inch AMOLED LTPS display with 1.5K resolution (1,208 × 2,644 pixels), a 144Hz refresh rate, up to 330Hz touch sampling, 2,800Hz instant touch sampling and peak brightness of 4,500 nits.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset, paired with a Mali-G720 MC7 GPU, 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

For photography, the phone has a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel main sensor featuring an f/1.59 aperture and optical image stabilisation (OIS), alongside an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture. A 13-megapixel front camera handles selfies and video calls.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, OTG, NFC, FM radio and a USB Type-C port.

The GT 50 Pro packs a 6,500mAh battery with support for up to 45W wired fast charging and 10W reverse wired charging. It measures 162.44 × 77.23 × 8.15mm and weighs 198g.
