iQOO 16 India launch could be nearing as global variant hits Geekbench

The iQOO 16 could be moving closer to a wider international rollout, with its reported global variant appearing on Geekbench and revealing key hardware and performance details.

The smartphone was spotted by tipster Abhishek Yadav under the model number ‘vivo I2607’. According to the tipster, this is the global version of the iQOO 16. The phone could launch in India, although iQOO has not confirmed a global or India launch.

The Geekbench listing shows a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, identified as SM8975. It has 2 cores clocked at 5.01GHz, 3 cores at 4.03GHz and 3 cores at 3.74GHz, along with an Adreno 850 GPU.

The tested device had 12GB of RAM and ran Android 17. It scored 2,944 points in the single-core test and 10,029 points in the multi-core test on Geekbench V7.

The firmware carries an ‘EX’ tag, which the tipster said could indicate that the India launch is approaching because the test device was running the global ROM.
