BharatPe brings voice-first agentic AI and credit insights to merchants

A new set of AI capabilities from BharatPe is aimed at helping merchants manage everyday operations, understand their credit position and access relevant financial products. The company has launched BharatPe Agentic AI and Credit Coach at the Global Fintech Fest 2026.

BharatPe Agentic AI is built using the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform on Google Cloud and integrated into the BharatPe for Business app. The AI assistant can connect with more than 60 live systems, understand merchant needs, answer questions and take actions in real time.

The assistant supports both voice and chat interactions in Hindi, English, Hinglish and regional languages. It can manage complaints and chargebacks while also recommending products such as CC on UPI, loans and POS.

It uses screen activity, interaction history and previous support tickets to understand context. Merchants can choose the assistant’s persona, avatar and voice. The system can also be interrupted during conversations, follow up on requests and provide updates.

“With BharatPe Agentic AI, we are moving beyond answering questions to helping merchants get things done,” Nalin Negi, CEO of BharatPe, said. “With Credit Coach, we are making credit awareness more personalised and actionable.”

Credit Coach is available in the Credit Score section of the BharatPe for Business app. With user consent, it creates personalised videos featuring a digital avatar of cricket player and World Cup-winning captain Rohit Sharma.

The videos explain bureau scores, total and active loans, upcoming overdue payments and written-off tradelines, where applicable. The tool also offers guidance on timely repayments and responsible credit use.

Credit Coach supports users across different credit profiles, including those with strong scores, overdue or written-off loans, no active credit history and those new to credit. Videos are available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

BharatPe is also using AI for merchant advertising through My Shop My Ad (MSMA), allowing businesses to create personalised advertisements featuring Rohit Sharma’s AI avatar.

Google said the partnership will use voice-first and multilingual AI to support small businesses with daily operations.

“With multimodal, voice-first intelligence in the BharatPe Agentic AI experience, we look forward to seeing Indian merchants across the country benefit from a trusted, multilingual daily partner that reduces everyday operational hurdles and accelerates financial inclusion nationwide,” Harsh Dhand, Director of AI Partnerships, APAC, Google, said.
