Guidewire Software has appointed Sharon Narang as its People Leader for India and Product Development and Operations across the Asia-Pacific region, strengthening its people leadership as the technology company continues to expand its teams and operations in the region.
She brings close to two decades of human resources leadership experience spanning technology, fintech and digital businesses. Her professional journey includes leadership and HR roles with organisations such as PayU, Zeta, Flipkart, Deloitte and Microsoft.
In her new role, Ms Narang will focus on shaping and executing people strategies for Guidewire’s India organisation while partnering with product development and operations teams across APAC. Her mandate is expected to cover areas including organisational culture, talent development, employee growth and building capabilities to support the company’s continued expansion.
The appointment adds to her experience of working closely with business and leadership teams during periods of organisational transformation and growth. During her tenure with Wibmo, a PayU company, she was involved in initiatives spanning talent management, employee value proposition, cultural transformation, capability building and organisational integration.
The new appointment comes at a time when technology organisations are placing greater emphasis on connecting people strategy with business performance. For product-led companies, this increasingly involves building specialised talent pipelines, developing future-ready skills, strengthening leadership capability and creating workplace cultures that can support sustained innovation.
Guidewire’s India operations form an important part of its global technology organisation. The company develops software platforms for the property and casualty insurance industry, including its InsuranceSuite portfolio and cloud-based solutions.
Narang’s appointment therefore gives her an opportunity to bring her experience in technology and fintech environments to a global enterprise software business, with responsibility extending beyond India into the wider APAC product development and operations landscape.
In a LinkedIn announcement highlighting the appointment, Guidewire’s ecosystem described Narang’s mandate in terms of strengthening culture, developing talent and enabling career growth at scale.
