Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has confirmed that the Redmi Note 17 Pro series will launch in India on September 15. The lineup is expected to include the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. The company has also revealed the design, colour options and some key features of both smartphones.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro series will offer a battery capacity of up to 10,000mAh, with the brand promoting it with the tagline “mAhster of strength”. According to internal lab tests, the phones can provide more than 4 days of usage on a single charge with light usage.
The dedicated microsite confirms that 2 smartphones will be introduced, although their official names have not yet been revealed. The lineup will also carry the Max branding, similar to the company’s global portfolio. Both phones will be sold in India through Amazon.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro is shown in a blue colourway with a flat rear panel and a square-shaped camera module positioned at the top-right corner. The handset will feature a dual rear camera setup.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will also have a flat rear design and a dual camera system. It will feature a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with optical image stabilisation. The power button and volume controls will be placed on the right side of both smartphones.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max was launched in select global markets last month at a starting price of JPY 79,980, which is roughly Rs. 47,900, for the 8GB + 256GB configuration.
The global model is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, paired with 8GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. It also features an 8-megapixel ultrawide rear camera alongside the 50-megapixel primary sensor.
