Samsung appears to be preparing a new entry in its Galaxy A series, with the Galaxy A18 4G tipped to arrive as the successor to last year’s Galaxy A17. While the company has not announced a launch date, a new leak has revealed the phone’s expected price, design and key specifications.
The Galaxy A18 4G is reportedly expected to start at EUR 299, around Rs. 32,000. If accurate, this would make it significantly more expensive than the A17 4G, which launched at EUR 199, around Rs. 21,000.
In India, the Galaxy A17 5G was launched at Rs. 18,999 for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The leaked renders show the Galaxy A18 4G in Black, Light Blue and Silver colour options. The phone is expected to retain a familiar A17-style design. It could feature a waterdrop-style notch with the selfie camera placed centrally, along with noticeable bezels.
At the back, the handset is shown with a vertically arranged triple-camera setup and an LED flash. The right side appears to have a slightly raised section housing the power button and volume rockers.
The Galaxy A18 4G is tipped to feature a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It could be powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset paired with 4GB RAM.
Samsung may offer the phone with 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, with microSD support for expansion of up to 2TB.
The handset could pack a 5,000mAh battery with 25W wired charging and may carry an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.
For photography, the A18 4G is expected to feature a 50-megapixel primary rear camera, a 5-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 2-megapixel macro sensor.
Connectivity options are tipped to include Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.3. The phone is said to measure 164.4×77.9×7.7mm and weigh 193 grams.
