Production Resource Group (PRG) has appointed Joe Simon as its new Chief Technology & Information Officer, bringing more than 25 years of technology and operational leadership across media, entertainment and live events.
Mr Simon joins PRG with extensive experience in technology modernisation, enterprise transformation and AI strategy. Most recently, he advised companies across the media and entertainment sector on technology transformation and the adoption of emerging technologies.
Before this, Simon served as Chief Information & Technology Officer at Entain, where he led enterprise technology across more than 30 international markets. He previously held the role of Chief Operating Officer at Encompass Digital Media, overseeing global operations and engineering for a live events business supporting more than 100,000 events annually.
His leadership career also includes CIO and CTO roles at VICE Media, Univision, Condé Nast and Viacom, giving him broad experience across complex, global technology environments.
He also brings an existing understanding of PRG’s business and client ecosystem, having previously worked with the company as a client.
In his new role, Simon will oversee PRG’s enterprise technology, systems and data strategy, with a focus on strengthening the company’s technology foundation while identifying opportunities to apply AI and other emerging technologies to create value for both PRG and its clients. His appointment comes as PRG continues to invest in its global operations and technology capabilities, positioning technology, data and AI as increasingly important enablers of its next phase of growth.
