Samsung has expanded its Odyssey gaming monitor lineup at Gamescom 2026 with 4 new models aimed at different gaming needs. The range includes the curved Odyssey OLED G9, flat Odyssey OLED G8, curved Odyssey OLED G7 and high-refresh-rate Odyssey G6. Samsung has not yet announced pricing, launch dates or market availability for the monitors.
The company has also partnered with Activision Blizzard to bring HDR gameplay into the development process for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The move supports Samsung’s push for HDR10+ Gaming, with plans to expand the ecosystem to more than 20 AAA titles by the first half of 2027.
Samsung Odyssey OLED G9
The Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SJ) is the largest model in the lineup. It features a 49-inch Dual QHD OLED display with a 5,120 x 1,440-pixel resolution and a 360Hz refresh rate. The monitor uses Samsung’s 5th-generation QD-OLED panel, which the company says is 1.3 times more efficient and can last twice as long as older panels.
It offers up to 1,300 nits of peak brightness on a 3% window at 4K resolution. Users can also switch to a 720Hz refresh rate by lowering the resolution to Dual HD at 2,560 x 720 pixels.
Samsung Odyssey OLED G8
The Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SJ) comes with a 32-inch UHD display and a 360Hz refresh rate. Its triple-mode support allows UHD at 360Hz, QHD at 520Hz or FHD at 680Hz.
The monitor features Glare Free technology, which Samsung says reduces glare by about 54% compared with conventional anti-reflection film. It supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible. Connectivity includes 1 DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20, 2 HDMI ports, 1 USB-C port and a USB hub with 2 downstream ports.
Samsung Odyssey OLED G7
The Odyssey OLED G7 (G75SJ) is claimed to be the world’s first 42-inch, 16:9 curved OLED gaming monitor. It offers a 165Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms GtG response time, along with a 1,000mm curvature radius and Glare Free technology.
Samsung Odyssey G6
The Odyssey G6 (G60H) features a 27-inch QHD non-OLED display with a 1,100Hz refresh rate. However, 1,100Hz is available only at HD resolution. At QHD, the monitor supports a 600Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time.
