China’s state planner has called for a more targeted approach to developing the country’s robotics industry, stressing that growth should reflect local conditions and available resources.

The industry should be developed in an orderly manner and built around each region’s resource strengths and industrial capabilities, spokesperson Li Chao said on Friday.

She also cautioned against blindly following industry trends, highlighting the need for development strategies that are aligned with local conditions rather than driven by broader market momentum.
