Philips is preparing to expand its smartphone lineup in India with the upcoming S7221, which has appeared on an Amazon microsite. The listing confirms that the handset will be sold through the e-commerce platform and provides details about its design and key specifications.
The company has not yet announced the launch date or price, but the listing indicates that the smartphone will arrive soon.
The Philips S7221 will be offered with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. It will also support 5G connectivity.
The smartphone is set to feature a 120Hz display and dual stereo speakers with an Ultra Max audio feature. For photography, it will include a 64-megapixel AI-assisted rear camera and a 16-megapixel front camera.
Images on the Amazon microsite show a flat display with a punch-hole cutout for the front camera. The rear panel features a rectangular camera module positioned in the upper-left corner. It houses 2 vertically arranged cameras along with a circular LED flash. The Philips logo is placed near the centre of the rear panel.
The S7221 is shown in black and silver finishes, while another image also reveals a white variant. The handset has a flat frame with rounded corners, while the rear panel appears to curve slightly towards the edges.
The Amazon listing also confirms an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.
The Philips S7221 is expected to add a conventional 5G smartphone to the company’s existing mobile phone portfolio in India.
