MetLife Global Capability Centres (MGCC) has appointed Dimple Kaloya as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), bringing an experienced HR leader with more than two decades of experience across human resources, consulting, talent and workforce management into the organisation’s senior leadership team.

In her new position, she will oversee the people and organisational agenda as the capability centre continues to build its workforce and strengthen its role within MetLife’s global operations. In a LinkedIn post announcing her move, Ms Kaloya said she was looking forward to working with the business and HR leadership teams and contributing to the organisation’s future. She also highlighted her intent to understand the organisation, work closely with its people and help build capabilities for the next phase of growth.

She brings around 24 years of professional experience spanning HR leadership, consulting, talent management, people analytics and workforce strategy.

Before moving to MetLife, she spent approximately seven years with HSBC, where she most recently led HR for the bank’s Global Service Centres in India as well as Group Functions Global Capability Network and Technology Centres. Her responsibilities involved supporting people priorities across large and complex global operations. Her earlier professional experience includes leadership and consulting roles with EY, Aon and WNS Global Services, as well as an early-career stint with S&P Global Market Intelligence. Her work across these organisations has covered areas such as HR consulting, organisation design, talent and performance management, employee engagement and workforce development.

Her appointment comes at a time when global capability centres are taking on increasingly strategic responsibilities within multinational organisations. Beyond traditional support functions, GCCs are becoming important hubs for technology, specialised talent, transformation and enterprise-wide capabilities. This shift is also changing the role of HR leadership within GCCs. Building specialised talent pools, developing new skills, strengthening leadership pipelines and redesigning organisations around technology are becoming increasingly important components of the people agenda.

As capability centres continue to evolve from service-delivery units into strategic contributors to global businesses, the ability to attract, develop and retain specialised talent is becoming increasingly central to their success. Ms. Kaloya’s new role places her at the heart of that people and capability agenda at MetLife Global Capability Centres.
