Arun Singh has taken on a new senior leadership role at Mangal Electrical Industries Limited as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). 

He brings nearly 3 decades of experience across human resources, industrial relations, administration, organisational transformation, business leadership and manufacturing operations.

In his new role, Singh will focus on developing a strong leadership pipeline, strengthening the company’s talent ecosystem, shaping organisational culture and advancing HR systems to support its growth plans.

Before joining Mangal Electrical Industries, Singh served as Vice President – Human Resources, Industrial Relations & Administration at Lalbaba Engineering Group. He led people, industrial relations and administrative priorities across the organisation.

Earlier, through The Transformed You, Singh worked with multiple organisations on people and organisational transformation. His experience brought together perspectives from Tata, multinational and promoter-led business environments.

Singh has also held senior HR leadership roles at MAN Energy Solutions India and Foseco India Limited. His responsibilities across these organisations included culture building, compensation, employee engagement, industrial relations, organisational effectiveness and HR transformation.

Before these roles, he spent more than 9 years with Tata BlueScope Steel. During his tenure, he progressed through positions including General Manager – Human Resources, Industrial Relations & Administration, Head – Marketing, Business Development and Sales, and Head – Corporate Support.

His work at Tata BlueScope covered HR strategy, organisational restructuring, change management, talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, union relations and board-level people matters.

Singh began his career at Tata Steel as a Graduate Engineering Trainee. He later moved through operations, maintenance, supply chain and executive support roles. His transition from engineering and operations into HR gave him a broader understanding of business and people leadership.

Across his career, Singh has worked in Tata, multinational and promoter-driven organisations, building expertise in HR strategy, industrial relations, leadership development, succession planning, organisational transformation, employer branding and talent management.

Singh holds an Executive Diploma in General Management with specialisation in Human Resources from XLRI Jamshedpur and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology. He has also completed executive development programmes in Labour Laws and Talent Management at XLRI Jamshedpur, along with a programme on Signs of Organisational Toxicity, Health and Enlightenment at IIM Ahmedabad.
