Workato strengthens India AI strategy with new Hyderabad hub

Workato has strengthened its India presence with the opening of its 3rd AI Collaboration Hub in Hyderabad, adding to its existing hubs in San Francisco and Singapore. The new facility is designed to bring customers, global system integrator (GSI) partners, developers and Workato engineers together to co-design, build and launch agentic AI solutions.

Located at Aurobindo Orbit in Hyderabad Knowledge City, HITEC City, the hub features collaboration zones, hot-desking facilities and hands-on build labs.

The company said the facility will serve as a collaborative space where teams can work together on production-ready AI solutions. “We opened a place where our customers and partners build production-grade AI with us, in the same room, and walk out with something tangible,” said Vijay Tella, CEO and co-founder at Workato.

India and the US together account for more than half of the global AI workforce. According to Stanford’s 2026 AI Index Report, India is the 2nd-largest contributor to global GitHub AI activity, accounting for nearly 20% of AI development.

Workato India has also expanded its workforce to more than 200 employees across Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai since beginning operations in India in 2022.
