British artificial intelligence startup CuspAI has secured $450 million in fresh funding, underscoring growing confidence in AI’s ability to transform scientific discovery and industrial innovation.
The Cambridge-based company is developing AI systems designed to discover entirely new materials that could unlock advances across semiconductors, clean energy, advanced manufacturing and next-generation computing.
Alongside the funding announcement, CuspAI launched the AI Materials Foundry, a global coalition aimed at bringing together computing infrastructure and scientific expertise to accelerate materials discovery at scale.
