OnePlus has started teasing the arrival of its next entry-level smartphone in India. The upcoming OnePlus N6x will become the 2nd model in the company’s new N series, following the launch of the OnePlus N6 last month.
A dedicated microsite for the OnePlus N6x is now live in India, confirming that the smartphone will be available through Amazon after launch. While the company has not revealed the launch date, price, design or key specifications, the teaser confirms that the device will be introduced in the country soon.
According to a tipster, the OnePlus N6x is expected to arrive with “familiar” specifications and features, although no further details have been shared.
The OnePlus N series was introduced as the company’s new entry-level smartphone lineup, replacing the Nord lineup as its most affordable range. The OnePlus N6, the 1st smartphone in the series, was launched in India on June 30 at a starting price of Rs. 22,999 for the 4GB + 128GB variant. It is currently available through Amazon and the OnePlus India online store in Fresh Mint and Midnight Green colour options.
The OnePlus N6 features a 6.75-inch HD LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,200 nits peak brightness. It also carries an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.
The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex octa-core processor, which is claimed to score more than 6,15,800 points on the AnTuTu benchmark platform.
For photography, the OnePlus N6 includes a 50MP rear camera with up to 10x digital zoom and an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
The device is backed by an 8,000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging and 6.5W reverse wired charging support. According to the company, the battery can deliver up to 3 days of usage on a single charge.
