New leaks suggest that Redmi is preparing the next generation of its Turbo smartphone lineup with a strong focus on battery life and performance. Although Xiaomi has not officially confirmed the devices, the latest reports indicate that the upcoming Redmi Turbo 6 series could feature larger batteries, upgraded displays, and new MediaTek processors.

According to a tipster on Weibo, Redmi is developing 2 models, the Redmi Turbo 6 and the Turbo 6 Max. Both smartphones are expected to feature a 7-inch display and a massive 10,000 mAh battery, making them a significant upgrade over their predecessors.

The Redmi Turbo 6 is tipped to be powered by the unannounced MediaTek Dimensity 8600 chipset. Earlier reports suggest the processor could be built using TSMC’s 3 nm manufacturing process. The same chipset has also been linked to the rumoured Honor Power 3, which is expected to feature a 12,000 mAh battery.

Meanwhile, the Redmi Turbo 6 Max is expected to use the rumoured MediaTek Dimensity 9600s processor. The higher-end model is also tipped to feature a 2K display, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, a metal middle frame, and IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

Redmi introduced the Turbo 5 and Turbo 5 Max in China earlier this year, and the new smartphones are expected to succeed them. Current reports suggest the Turbo 6 Max could launch in January 2027, although it is still unclear whether Xiaomi will introduce the standard Redmi Turbo 6 at the same event.

As the company has not officially announced the lineup, all the reported specifications and launch timelines should be considered based on leaks until confirmed by Xiaomi.
