Just days after becoming available in India, the Samsung Galaxy M47 5G has received a significant price increase across all storage variants. The revised pricing comes only 1 week after the smartphone went on sale, making it one of the quickest post-launch price revisions seen in the Indian smartphone market.
The updated prices are now reflected on a leading e-commerce platform. The 6GB + 128GB variant is now priced at ₹32,999, up by ₹7,000 from its launch price of ₹25,999.
The 8GB + 128GB model has increased from ₹28,999 to ₹36,999, while the top-end 8GB + 256GB variant now costs ₹41,999, compared to its original launch price of ₹33,999. This marks a price hike of ₹8,000 for the highest storage option.
Samsung launched the Galaxy M47 5G in India on June 29, and sales began on July 4. At launch, the smartphone was introduced in Blaze Blue and Rogue Red colour options.
Price revisions have become common in India’s smartphone market in recent months, with several brands increasing prices due to rising memory and component costs. However, unlike older smartphones that received price adjustments after being on sale for a longer period, the Galaxy M47 5G saw its price increase within just 1 week of its commercial availability.
The timing has drawn attention because the smartphone was launched after memory prices had already increased. This suggests Samsung was already aware of the prevailing component costs when it announced the device. The rapid revision indicates that the original launch pricing may have been offered as a limited introductory price before moving to its regular retail pricing.
