Expanding its premium smartphone lineup, Tecno has officially confirmed that the Camon 50 Ultra 5G will launch in India on July 17 at 12:00 PM IST. Ahead of the launch, the company has started teasing the smartphone’s AI-powered imaging features, premium design, and durable build. The handset will also be available for purchase through Amazon, where a dedicated microsite is already live.
The Tecno Camon 50 Ultra 5G will arrive in Cypress Green, Misty Purple, and Nebula Titanium colour options. The smartphone features a flat-frame design with rounded corners and a vertically aligned rear camera module housing 3 large camera sensors, an additional sensor, an LED flash, and a red accent.
Tecno says the smartphone will include AI-powered photography tools that can enhance images and remove unwanted objects from photos. The company also claims the device offers a slim profile, durable construction, and a battery designed to last throughout the day.
The global variant, first showcased at MWC 2026 in Barcelona, features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 4,500 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, and runs Android 16 with HiOS 16.
For photography, the handset includes a 50MP Sony LYT-700C primary camera, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 13MP front camera capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps.
Additional features include IP68, IP69, and IP69K dust and water resistance ratings, MIL-STD-810 certification, a 6,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, and 5G connectivity.
