Strengthening its global operations, U.S.-based insurance and financial services company Nationwide has opened its first international Global Services Center in Hyderabad. The new facility marks the company’s first campus outside the United States and is expected to support its long-term business growth and expanding operational needs.
The Hyderabad centre joins Nationwide’s existing campuses across 3 locations in the U.S. According to Vikas Jaswal, Managing Director of Nationwide Global Services – India, the company has already onboarded 60 employees at the new office and plans to increase the workforce to more than 100 as it expands its capabilities.
“The highly skilled talent market in India and established global capability ecosystem in Hyderabad, make it an ideal choice for our Nationwide India office and expanded global workforce,” he said.
The new centre will focus on building critical business capabilities while improving speed, productivity, and operational efficiency across the organisation.
Commenting on the development, Telangana IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu said Hyderabad has become one of the world’s leading innovation hubs for banking, financial services, insurance, and capital markets. He added that 9 of the world’s top 10 BFSI companies are driving innovation and advanced product engineering from the city.
The minister also noted that Nationwide has become the latest addition to Telangana’s growing network of Global Value Centers (GVCs), further strengthening Hyderabad’s position as a preferred destination for global capability and innovation centres.
