With a strong focus on technology-led governance, Jharkhand is preparing to showcase its Artificial Intelligence and digital transformation strategy at the National Stakeholders’ Consultation 2026, scheduled to be held in New Delhi on July 8-9. Organised by the Department of Information Technology & e-Governance, Government of Jharkhand, the event will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, technology companies, and experts to discuss the future of AI-powered governance in India.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren will inaugurate the consultation and present the state’s roadmap for building a citizen-centric, digitally empowered governance model. The government aims to position AI as a practical tool to improve public service delivery, transparency, and administrative efficiency. Nearly 100 Indian and international technology and IT companies are expected to participate.

Jharkhand will also highlight investment opportunities in its IT and ITeS sector. A key attraction will be the proposed Ranchi IT Park, spread across 100.97 acres of litigation-free government land in Ranchi’s Core Capital Area. Located near IIM Ranchi and Birsa Munda Airport, the project is expected to become a major IT investment hub in eastern India. The state will also promote incentives under the Jharkhand IT Policy 2023, including 50% capital investment reimbursement, 100% stamp duty exemption, and 100% electricity duty waiver.

Another major focus will be the Draft AI Policy 2026, covering the 2026-2031 period. The proposal includes establishing a State AI Mission under the Chief Minister’s leadership, with JAP-IT as the nodal agency, and developing a Jharkhand AI Cloud integrated with the Government of India’s IndiaAI ecosystem.

The state plans to deploy AI across governance, agriculture, rural livelihoods, healthcare, and mineral resource management. Officials said the strategy aligns with the Centre’s vision of “AI for All”.

Jharkhand will also present the proposed Chief Minister’s Data Intelligence Platform (CM-DIP), an AI-powered platform designed for real-time monitoring and data-driven decision-making. The system will support multilingual citizen services through WhatsApp and Panchayat Bhavan digital kiosks, backed by an Integrated Control and Command Centre.

Through this consultation, Jharkhand aims to strengthen its position as a leading destination for AI innovation, digital governance, and technology investments.
