Lenovo has officially confirmed that its new Legion Y700 AI gaming tablet will launch in China this August. Ahead of the launch, the company has released a teaser revealing the tablet’s design, colour option, and a few key features, although the complete specifications are yet to be announced.
According to the teaser shared on social media, the Lenovo Legion Y700 AI will support 5G connectivity and feature a compact design. The company also confirmed that the tablet will come equipped with AI-powered capabilities.
The teaser video showcases the tablet in a Purple colour option with Legion branding on the rear panel. The design differs slightly from the recently launched Lenovo Legion Y700 Gen 5. The upcoming model appears to feature a 50-megapixel rear camera positioned in the top-right corner. The camera module is surrounded by an RGB LED light ring, highlighting its gaming-focused design.
The announcement comes shortly after Lenovo introduced the Legion Y700 Gen 5 in China. The gaming tablet starts at CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs. 54,100) for the 12GB + 256GB variant.
The Legion Y700 Gen 5 features an 8.8-inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. It offers up to 24GB RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. The tablet also includes a 17,353 sq mm three-channel liquid-cooled vapour chamber for improved thermal performance.
For photography, the Legion Y700 Gen 5 is equipped with a 50-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera with facial recognition support. It also includes AI-powered features such as AI Voiceprint Hunter 2.0 and AI Pixel Sniper God 2.0. The device packs a 9,000mAh battery with support for 68W fast charging.
Lenovo is expected to reveal the complete specifications, pricing, and availability details of the Legion Y700 AI during its official launch event in August.
