Nasdaq names Jennifer James as Senior Director to lead people transformation initiatives

Nasdaq has appointed Jennifer James as Senior Director, People Transformation Program Management, strengthening its leadership team to support enterprise-wide people transformation initiatives. In her new role, she will lead HR transformation programs, organizational change initiatives, and strategic program execution, helping advance the company’s evolving people strategy.

Jennifer brings more than 15 years of experience across people transformation, talent development, HR program management, people analytics, organizational effectiveness, and strategic project leadership. Throughout her career, she has led complex cross-functional initiatives that enhance employee experience, strengthen talent capabilities, and drive organizational transformation across the technology, financial services, gaming, and consulting sectors.

Before joining Nasdaq, Jennifer served as Director – HR Projects, Programs & Analytics at PENN Entertainment’s Penn Interactive division. She led strategic HR initiatives spanning diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I), HR systems, job architecture, people analytics, communications, performance management, system migrations, and talent development. She worked closely with business leaders to deliver enterprise-wide people programs supporting the company’s growing digital business.

Earlier, Jennifer spent more than 5 years at Comcast, where she progressed through several leadership roles, including Senior Manager – Talent Development, Manager – Learning & Talent Management, and Supervisor. During her tenure, she served as a trusted talent advisor for more than 3,000 employees within the company’s Technology organization, leading learning strategies, leadership development, talent management, and career development initiatives that strengthened workforce capabilities and employee engagement.

Prior to moving into HR leadership, Jennifer built extensive experience in strategic program and project management at Vanguard, where she managed workplace transformation, sustainability, and capital improvement initiatives. She also held roles at ICF International, supporting the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR and Indoor airPLUS programs, and began her career at Chubb, contributing to environmental sustainability initiatives within corporate real estate.

Her appointment reflects Nasdaq’s continued investment in strengthening its people strategy through experienced leadership, enterprise transformation, and organizational excellence.
