In his new role, Rajesh will lead the company’s operations and strategic initiatives, supporting growth, operational excellence, manufacturing capabilities, and BALCO’s contribution to India’s aluminium sector.
Singh brings nearly 30 years of experience in the metals and mining industry, with deep expertise in aluminium manufacturing, smelting operations, metal production, plant leadership, and business operations.
Before taking over as CEO & Whole-Time Director, Singh served as Chief Executive Officer (Metal) at BALCO. He previously held the role of Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Metal), where he played an important role in driving metal operations and business performance initiatives.
Earlier, as Chief Operating Officer – Metal, he was responsible for enhancing operational performance, improving production efficiency, and advancing manufacturing excellence across the company’s metal business.
A major part of his career was dedicated to leading BALCO’s smelting operations as Head – Hot Metal, where he managed critical production activities and operational processes. Since joining BALCO in 2004, Singh has steadily advanced through various leadership roles, progressing from Deputy Manager to General Manager and contributing across multiple operational and manufacturing functions over more than 20 years with the organization.
Prior to joining BALCO, Singh worked with Hindalco Industries Limited as Assistant Manager, gaining valuable experience in aluminium manufacturing and industrial operations. He began his professional journey with ISPAT Profiles India Limited as an Engineer, where he built his foundation in manufacturing and engineering operations.
Over the course of his career, Rajesh Singh has developed extensive expertise in aluminium production, metal operations, manufacturing leadership, operational excellence, plant management, industrial operations, and business performance management.
