In her new role, Sheila will lead the company’s people function as Vroom continues supporting its subsidiaries, United Auto Credit Corporation (UACC) and CarStory, following the company’s transition away from e-commerce operations and the wind-down of its used vehicle dealership business.
Before joining Vroom, Sheila served as Principal Consultant at BLS HR Consulting, where she established an HR advisory practice focused on consulting, fractional leadership roles, and project-based opportunities.
Prior to that, she worked at Wolters Kluwer as Global Talent Strategist, supporting the company’s largest division across the Americas, Europe, and APAC regions. In this role, she led performance management, succession planning, talent assessment, employee engagement initiatives, and action planning processes. She also expanded her work in AI learning and enablement initiatives.
Earlier, Sheila served as Chief Human Resources Officer at UES, a private equity-backed engineering platform. During her tenure, she established the company’s first centralised HR function, led the integration of more than 12 acquisitions, and drove HR transformation, talent strategy, culture alignment, engagement, and total rewards modernisation.
A major part of her professional journey was spent at McKesson, where she worked for more than 20 years in several senior HR leadership positions. Her responsibilities included HR business partnership, M&A integration, compensation, compliance, benefits, talent strategy, labour relations, and HR operations management.
Throughout her career, Sheila has built strong expertise in organisational transformation, executive HR leadership, employee engagement, talent management, and scalable people solutions across complex global enterprises.
