Rajat Setia takes charge of marketing leadership role at Exotel

Before joining Exotel, Rajat spent more than 6 years at PeopleStrong, where she most recently served as assistant vice president-marketing. She joined the company in 2019 as marketing manager and later moved into several leadership roles. During her tenure, she handled integrated marketing initiatives across brand and events, content and inbound marketing, product marketing, and go-to-market strategies for Southeast Asia and ANZ markets.

In 2021, Rajat was elevated as head of marketing for Southeast Asia. In 2023, she took charge as head of brand, content and product marketing. Earlier in her career, she worked with Video Houze Pte as social media and digital lead and also held roles at SoLoMo Media and Triggero.

Speaking about her new role, Rajat said, “Exotel’s mission is to transform how businesses engage with their customers, not incrementally, but fundamentally. The bet here is that customer journeys are being completely rewritten by AI.”

She further added that most of Exotel’s current offerings were built over the last 3 years and described the company as “the kind of company where the product has something real to say”.

Rajat will also contribute to building EngageX, Exotel’s flagship customer experience-focused event, which she called “the biggest CX gathering of the year”, bringing together CX leaders, technology pioneers and enterprise decision-makers.
