In a major breakthrough against online financial fraud, Malkajgiri Cybercrime Police solved 2 cybercrime cases and arrested 2 accused between May 3 and May 9. Officials said the investigations uncovered cyber fraud networks operating across multiple states in the country.

According to the police, both cases were linked to fake online investment schemes that lured victims with promises of high returns. Victims were reportedly cheated after being convinced to invest money through fraudulent digital platforms.

The accused were identified and traced through technical investigation and detailed analysis of digital evidence. Police said the operation helped expose wider cyber fraud connections beyond the state.

In a significant relief for the victims, the Cybercrime Police also facilitated the refund of Rs 4.31 lakh after securing the necessary court orders. The recovered amount was successfully credited back to the victims’ bank accounts during the same week.

Officials stated that cybercriminals are increasingly targeting people through fake investment opportunities and urged citizens to stay alert while making online financial transactions. Authorities also reiterated the importance of verifying investment platforms before transferring money.

The police added that investigations are continuing to identify further links connected to the fraud network.
