India’s Global Capability Centre ecosystem is rapidly evolving from a cost-focused model to a strategic innovation hub for global enterprises. In line with this shift, Embark and Evaaya have announced a strategic partnership to help companies build and scale next-generation GCCs in India.
Embark, backed by Embassy Group’s real estate expertise, offers integrated support across infrastructure, workspace, talent, and managed services. Evaaya brings a practitioner-led approach focused on designing and operating GCCs that align closely with enterprise strategy and business goals.
The partnership aims to solve a major challenge faced by many GCCs — the disconnect between global headquarters and India-based teams.
“Many GCCs underperform not due to gaps in talent, cost, or infrastructure, but because they remain disconnected from the enterprise’s core operating rhythm and business context,” said Vaidyanathan Seshan, Founder of Evaaya. “Our focus is on aligning leadership, culture, and operating models so that the GCC and HQ function as a single, integrated system.”
The collaboration will support the complete GCC lifecycle, including strategy, location planning, operating model design, talent, infrastructure execution, leadership enablement, and cultural integration.
As enterprises increasingly use India centres for AI initiatives, digital transformation, product development, and innovation, the role of GCCs is expanding beyond traditional back-office operations.
Embark will also offer flexible models such as Assisted Build and Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) to simplify setup and expansion for enterprises entering India or scaling existing operations.
“We are enabling global organisations to build, scale, and seamlessly transition high-performing capability centres,” said Aravind Maiya, CEO and Co-Founder, Embark. “Our partnership with Evaaya strengthens our ability to deliver agile ecosystems that combine scale with long-term strategic continuity.”
