In her new role, Sehgal will lead key HR priorities at the plant, focusing on workforce engagement, people management, HR operations, leadership capability, and aligning human resources practices with business goals.
Before joining JSW Energy, she worked as a Consultant at Volvo Group in Bengaluru. Prior to that, she took a career break dedicated to full-time parenting.
Earlier in her career, Sehgal served in the Indian Army for over 11 years, holding roles such as Instructor and Army Officer. Her military experience helped her build strong capabilities in leadership, operations, supply chain management, training, and people management.
Before her tenure in the armed forces, she worked as a lawyer in Jammu, gaining early exposure to legal practice.
Sehgal has also completed a General Management Program in Business, Management & Human Resources from Indian Institute of Management Lucknow.
Her appointment reflects JSW Energy’s focus on strengthening HR leadership at critical infrastructure sites and enhancing workforce effectiveness.
